I love to sing!

I sang on recital this week!  It's such a great feeling to get up on stage and entertain people.  I almost forgot what it's like to have all eyes on me.  Haha  it was a rush to be able to sing again.  I'm battling some throat issues, but I feel that I did a great job on Wednesday.  I'm also singing in studio for the first time this semester.  I hope that I still have it in me.  This week has been super busy, but I have still managed to keep my composure and confidence.  I don't want this semester to go by any faster than it already is.  As of now...... I want to stay forever.  Yes I said it.  I want to stay in school.  I never thought I would say that. haha But it's been a great journey and I know that I only have more to come.  Greater and better things.

It's Friday!!!

This week has gone by entirely too fast already.  It's been crazy but good all at the same time.  I've been experiencing some difficulties with my voice cutting out at my break in my range.  It's getting me a little worried, but thankfully I have Dr. Hepworth to talk me through things and help me figure out what is going on.  I've devoted my time this week to memorizing my songs.  It's going fairly well and I should have no problem at all getting it done.  I hope that everyone has had a great week!  Enjoy the weekend!

Spring Break!

I can't believe it's midterm week already.  This semester has gone entirely too fast already.  I have so much to do in so little time.  I hate to say it but I wish it were still the end of January.  I'm finally better though, so there's a positive.  We worked on Jazz dans la nuit in my lesson this week.  Maybe it won't be such a bad song afterall.  Memorization is my main focus this week and next week so that I can be ready to sing when I'm completely healthy!  I have an awful memory so I'm hoping this doesn't affect my progress.  I'm stressed and tired, and I'm so ready for a week off of school.
